Great Video talks about how the sliverlight is understood by the browser and how to create a customized page for the sliverlight installation..

Thanks Tim, this helped a lot. Especially liked the information about how to install on firefox without a restart.

the refresh in IE seems to fail if you have Silverlight 1.0 installed and you application requires Silverlight 2.0.  I'm using the version agnostic approach omitting Silverlight.js that was your second example.  Am I doing something wrong?

Amazing tutorial dear, I just finish it and played a little with it.

It has only one bug, it is very fast, I had to view it many timws to get the code. LOL.

itnix: it isn't a video on installing silverlight, but rather a video for developers on how to optimized the 'not installed' experience for their users.

hassanayoub85: what is the bug so we can correct?

Any idea how I might determine why none of these tutorial videos play in the Silverlight player? I have to download and load them into WMP to see them. I have the latest version of SL2 installed.

fchateau: you are the first to report this.  Can you please let me know what your platform is (browser, os, version of silverlight -- you can get the version of silverlight by right-clicking on silverlight content on this site and checking the version number).  You can email me offline at timheuer (at) microsoft <dot> com.

When using the "Not Installed" template with the go2.microsoft.com/fwlink link, what version of Silverlight will be installed? If not the latest 2.0 beta, is there a link that wil install the latest version?
